Chain Street and 4th started as a solo project for Chris Hoad at the start of 2007, as a mix of progressive rock, hardcore and alt. metal.



Chris spent 12 months working on ideas, sessions and recording the debut album 'Devices', which features 11 tracks (one of which, 'Pictures and Words', appeared on our unlaut compilation in December 2007.
Devices was released on Unlabel in April 2008 limited to 100 copies on CD.

Chain street stopped being a side project at the end of 2007, when J Straker, Jack Greenwood and Miles Kite had all become firm members.
