Jason and the Astronauts

Experimental four piece Jason and the Astronauts produced some of the finest post-punk electro-tinged noise guitar noise (with shouting) we've ever heard.

They built up a strong fanbase following some excellent live shows all over the UK and numerous comparisons to the likes of Bloc Party, LCD Soundsystem, !!! (chk chk chk) and Gang of Four were made.

Their debut release was the 'Burn Down The Boys School' 7" and this was followed in 2004 by the debut album 'The Mourning After Math'. Their last release was the single 'Tonight I'm Gonna Party Like It's 1989', released in December 2005 and they disbanded a fewc months later.

They reformed for a few hours in November 2007, rehearsed once, played a one-off show and got paid handsomely for it. Nice work boys.
