Over the last three years Lakes have evolved from being a jumbled up directionless collection of friends-making-music in to a tighter, happier and wilder 4 peice unit.

They have shared stages with a wide variety of bands such as Gorrila Biscuits, Lords, NCF and So So Modern as well as put on shows in their own houses and in venues in Canterbury and Ashford.

A major theme in the music of Lakes is 'crime' and particularly that of local spazzy gypnut legends that would otherwise be forgotten. Major influences include Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Enablers, Melvins and Mission of Burma to name but a few.
