Neverest Songs

Luke aka Neverest Songs was born in 1981 and is currently based in Margate. He started out as a kid playing an electric organ (badly), then took on his Dad's guitar when he gave up his brief rock-star dream.
He began writing music at 15 and has been involved in all manner of short-lived bands since, the most notable being Candy Sniper, with whom he played bass before leaving to work on his own music.

Luke started playing solo shows, and then began work on an album in 2005. The album was being recorded with friends, but, due to his sometimes meticulous nature, combined with the crammed working schedules of the guys recording him, the album still wasn’t complete by late 2008. Not content with releasing 3 year-old material as if new, or with the sound achieved by this point, he decided to ditch this album in favour of purchasing a basic recording set-up of his own, and working on the new material he had stacking up at home.

He began work on the album Small Voyages in December 2008 and travelled to New York for a few days to record all of the piano parts with friend Rick Warren engineering in February '09. Other than violin, Luke played or produced all the sounds on these recordings himself (guitars, piano, bass, drums, toy piano, theremin, cello, synths...) and the album was released on Unlabel in January 2010.

For live shows friends help out, with different instrument set-ups for different shows, and songs being re-arranged.
